Description: Kickstart your mosaic journey with an exclusive one-on-one Zoom session, followed by an inspiring, hands-on experience at Luna Mosaic Arts! Join renowned mosaic artist and instructor Michelle Sider for three exciting days of creating textured landscape mosaics in Cherie’s welcoming studio.
In this immersive 3-day workshop, Michelle will share her signature techniques to help you craft a breathtaking, textural mosaic. With her years of teaching expertise, Michelle provides a supportive environment packed with in-depth tips, hands-on demonstrations, and individual feedback.
Start with a private Zoom session, where you’ll delve into image selection, color theory, value, and material choices tailored to your piece. Once in the studio, the workshop begins with an insightful PowerPoint, thorough instructions, and a live demo. Michelle will guide you through essential elements like color and value dynamics, andamento, and design to elevate your mosaic's visual depth.
Walk away with your own 8” x 8” masterpiece, rich in texture and personal flair.
About the Instructor: Michelle Sider
Michelle Sider is an acclaimed mosaic artist and instructor based in Metro Detroit, known for her vibrant glass mosaics and expressive paintings. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit, Michelle blends her artistry and psychology background to inspire and uplift others through her work. Her 47-year career spans teaching, counseling, and creating award-winning artwork displayed in galleries including Twisted Fish Gallery (Elk Rapids, MI), Water Street Gallery (Douglas and Grand Rapids, MI), and Ambleside Gallery (Greensboro, NC).
Michelle is a member of notable art organizations such as CMA2, SAMA, MAM, DFABC, Embrace Creatives, BAMM, MAANZ, and the Detroit Artists Market. Her Huntington Woods studio is where she creates and teaches her sought-after mosaic techniques, drawing on decades of expertise and an unwavering passion for teaching. Michelle is also the co-author and illustrator of two books offering solace to those coping with grief.
With nearly 47 years of teaching experience, Michelle’s workshops are known for their in-depth, hands-on instruction, making them ideal for both new and seasoned mosaic artists.

- 50% deposit is required to hold your space in the class or workshop.
- Balance due 14 days before class or workshop date.
- Full Refund - 30 days prior to the class or workshop minus a $50 processing fee.
- Full Refund if class or workshop is canceled.
- No Refunds - within 30 days of the class or workshop unless we can fill your space minus a $50 processing fee.
