Sparkling Jewel Mosaic Mirrors (2-day class) with Angie Heinrich
Date: January 24 & 26 - Friday & Sunday
Skill Level: All levels welcome! No previous experience with mosaics necessary
Hours: Friday, January 24 9:30 - 5:30 (designing); Sunday, January 26 10:00 -1:30 (grouting/finishing) Sunday's grouting will combine both Friday & Saturday workshops. If weather permitting, We will grout outside under the Giant oak trees!!!

Description:
Spend a weekend with Angie Heinrich for this mosaic mirror class and walk away with a beautiful finished sparkling jewel to hang on your wall.
You will learn the fundamentals of the “direct method” as we work intensively with beads and tile to create a textural jewel of soothing symmetry. Angie passes on the techniques she has honed over the past 20 years and through the thousands of pieces she has created using beads and glass tiles. All materials provided, including lots and lots of beads. Come to learn; come for the pure joy of creating!

- How to choose beads and where to buy them
- The best adhesives to use for beads
- How to apply beads the magical way!
- How to use beads and tile together to create an intricate look and feel
- Tips and tricks on keeping all rows straight, even, and professional
- Basic cutting techniques
- Learn how to grout a highly textured mosaic
- Basic design and color considerations
- How to install mirror glass
- Do you know the Lark's Head knot for hanging wire? You will after this class!
Some students like to create larger mirrors for specific areas of their home (powder room, entry way, etc), therefore; this class allows you to choose the size you want to create. Don't worry about finishing. Everyone always goes home with a completed mirror.

Angie has been creating mosaics and teaching mosaics in Seattle, Washington since 2001 under her business name Zetamari Mosaics. She creates soothing symmetries of sparkling glass tiles and beads for over 60+ art and craft galleries around the U.S. and feels blessed to have taught more than 500 students.
To create artwork for an environment that inspires joy is to engender a sense of well-being and vitally important to how we view and engage our world. This is at the core of her art and teaching. Angie aspires to inspire and nurture that belief, teaching others to trust themselves and their creativity. Sharing her joy of creativity and color with students is at the core of her aspirations to elevate the home, heart, and soul.
Cancellation Policy:
- 50% deposit is required to hold your space in the class or workshop.
- Balance due 14 days before class or workshop date.
- Full Refund - 30 days prior to the class or workshop minus a $50 processing fee.
- Full Refund if class or workshop is canceled.
- No Refunds - within 30 days of the class or workshop unless we can fill your space minus a $50 processing fee.
